Orxeta is a small village placed in the centre of a valley where lemons and oranges are grown. It is the perfect location for walkers, climbers, cyclists or anyone seeking a very special break away from the crowds.
Spain is one of the best walking countries in Europe and Alicante in the south-east has it all. It has a great climate, some of the highest mountains in the area, and wild unfrequented areas filled with dramatic scenery and some of the most interesting flora and fauna to be found anywhere in the world. Rambling is a relatively new pastime in many parts of Spain and Alicante, where the tourism tends to be more for its beaches and good weather, walking has been largely overlooked by all but a few of Europe’s most enthusiastic walkers.
